Addiction and other mental health struggles are no strangers to me and my family. Addiction has taken members of my family away mentally, socially, and physically. It is a struggle that terrifies me because use can feel safe and comfortable. To have a community around you to help you into a new safe and comfortable life without use is vital. Other mental disorders and struggles are just as terrifying on their own but having a place like The 705 can be just as important in coping day-to-day. The 705 has its own community that is a lifeline for so many and to be available in Barrie is something special. Which is why I support the great work The 705 does every day and I’m participating in the 24 hour window to raise awareness and financial donations to keep that good work going!
